Welcome to St. John The Evangelist Merrow

On Sunday 16^th October we said goodbye to Rev Rona and there was so much to celebrate and be thankful for as we looked back at her time with us and all that we have achieved in that time.

We are now in the process called “interregnum” when we go through the formal C of E process of selecting and appointing a new Rector and we would hope to be in a position to announce the new incumbent in the summer of 2023. During this period of a vacancy, we will be keeping our church very much alive.

The Community of St. John’s in Merrow continues to be a place of fun, fellowship and worship where all are welcome. Our vision statement remains the heart of who we are “A caring Christian Community; here for everyone” underpinned by 1 John 4:19 ‘We love because he first loved us.’ So, we have opportunities for all ages and stages from Toddlers to Coffee Club, Youth Café to House Bible Groups, Church services on Sundays and Wednesday and of course some green fingered activities for those that enjoy the great outdoors! We also have our centre foyer open and warm from 11am – 2pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for anyone who wishes to make use of the space with hot drinks available too.

All these and so much more provide great opportunities of relaxation, friendship, learning, and fun! We would love you to come and be a part of this loving, welcoming community in the midst of the greater community of Merrow.
