What is the Men’s Fellowship hatching up in the next few months?
Gentlemen,
Earlier this year, what could have surpassed that lovely summer’s evening with a local craft beer and some pleasant fellowship on the Mid Hants Railway? Or our summer stroll along the River Wey with coffee at Pyrford Church and lunch at the Anchor Inn? Or the sizzling triumphant execution of Sunday lunch at the Parish BBQ? Or last week’s thought-provoking visit to the Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking?
Look what’s coming up soon………...
- On Saturday 22nd October, we are planning a gentle stroll around Hydon’s Ball to savour the autumn colours with lunch at a local hostelry. This replaces the tour of Southwark Cathedral which will take place in the Spring next year. Please use this link to secure your place…………. https://forms.churchdesk.com/f/wfEkfAlypF
- Our next Breakfast is on Saturday 29th October when we will be addressed by Prof. David Phillips CBE, FRSC, FRC, recently retired from Imperial College and ex-President of the Royal Society of Chemistry, on the question on which we Christians should have a view; “Climate Change”. Please use this link to secure your place and pay the £5 donation ……….. https://forms.churchdesk.com/f/DfMprTSdVp
- Then we have a Christmas Cracker Breakfast on Saturday, 10th December, to get you all thinking about the coming of Christmas
- Then to start of 2023; we have lunch at the CLINK on Tuesday 24th January, supporting prisoners training for catering careers on their release from High Down Prison
- Then on Saturday 25th February we are hoping that a representative of the Jewish Society will be able to explore the foundations of Judaism with us over a men’s breakfast
Details on the last three events to follow www.saintjohns.org.uk
Best wishes,
St. John’s Men’s Fellowship
