Salary: £12 per hour for a minimum of 25 hours per week
St John the Evangelist is situated in Merrow and is looking for a Parish Administrator to join our friendly team to continue with our vision of building a Caring Christian Community.
The roles requires:
- A professional and friendly, welcoming manner with the ability to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds and abilities, showing resilience, empathy and discretion.
- A high level of computer literacy and technical knowledge to include MS Office, and social media platforms.
- An eye for detail and the ability to look ahead to ensure good communication across all platforms including marketing of events.
- Good organisational and time management skills whilst being willing to take direction, work flexibly using initiative and managing pressure calmly.
- An ability to co-operate with Clergy, volunteers, and clients.
- Being Sympathetic to the vision and Christian values of the Church and an interest in the workings of the Church of St John the Evangelist.
The Parish Administrator will work closely with the Rector, Church Wardens, PCC, Youth Worker, verger, Centre Manager and a wide range of volunteers. The role will be based in the Parish Office in the St John’s Centre and will be for a minimum of 25 hours per week over five days.
The role is subject to references and DBS check.
